I have a job interview tonight with a marketing company and the receptionist told me to dress business casual. I was planning to wear a nice white blouse with a dark grey shirt underneath paired with black skinny jeans and black tie flats. I'm worried that the skinny jeans are too casual; however, I don't own any dress pants or skirts. Are black skinny jeans okay for business casual attire?
Dressed up with a nice blouse and flats, I'd say yes, it's business casual attire. Especially if you are 20 or younger- slacks would look dated.
Skinny (as in skin tight) anything isn't business appropriate, and jeans are always too casual.
Business casual means slacks or trousers, skirts, a dress paired with a sweater, blouse, cardigan, or blazer.
Business professional would be a dark pantsuit with a blouse. http://www.professionalliabilitysolution鈥?/a>
Ditch the skinny jeans in favor of a fitted black trouser. Same look, just no denim. The pockets on jeans are usually a dead giveaway. Pick the same sort of cut in a different fabric, and don't go skin tight. A tapered leg is fine, but keep it skimming, not squeezing.
Why are you wearing dark gray under a white blouse? Wear nude so nothing shows through. Layered styles are cute on the street but nobody in the office should know what you have on under your blouse.
Run to Wal*Mart or Target and you can get slacks for $15 bucks. You'll need them for work if you get the job, so you may as well own a pair. Otherwise, borrow from a friend until you buy your own.
If I was hiring you, I'd want to see you looking something like this:

You can adapt those styles so they're age appropriate, but in my mind that is what business casual looks like.
It is better to be over-dressed rather than under-dressed at an interview. If dark-wash denim is ok in the dress code, let them be the ones to tell you. It's better to be told 'wearing jeans is ok' as opposed to hearing 'please show up in trousers next time', and it makes you look better. Are black skinny jeans okay for business casual attire?
Once the word "business" becomes involved, jeans are not. You can't work in an office/building in jeans, unless you're the help. Although even the help have uniforms...
I don't think so. Do you live near a clothing store or do you own any skirts because I don't think skinny jeans would work. I think you could wear any skirt really. Are black skinny jeans okay for business casual attire?
I think you will be fine. Just wow them with your personality.
bussiness you need to wear baggy jeans ..but it depends what you are interviewing for and how old you are
